(Newark, DE 19713) The New Castle County Division of Police has issued a Gold Alert for 14-year-old Sadie Word of Newark. On Sunday, April 28, 2024, sometime after 9:30 a.m., Sadie fled from her residence in the neighborhood of Greenbridge and has not been seen since. All attempts to locate and contact Sadie have been unsuccessful and there is a concern for her safety and well-being.

She is approximately 5’1”, 100 pounds with brown eyes and shoulder-length braided brown hair. Sadie was last observed wearing blue Crocs or black and white sneakers with an Old Navy bookbag and carrying a baby doll.
