(Wilmington, DE 19805) On Monday, June 16, 2025, at approximately 10:26 p.m., Officers patrolling the Alban Park community heard multiple gunshots coming from the area of Homestead Road. Moments later, they observed a vehicle speeding away from the scene. Officers followed the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on Maryland Avenue.

Officers discovered that the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a 26-year-old male, had sustained gunshot wounds to his lower extremities. Officers immediately provided first aid until Emergency Medical Services arrived. The victim was then transported to a nearby hospital, where he is in stable condition.

Responding officers located a crime scene in the 600 block of Homestead Road, which included multiple vehicles that had been struck by gunfire.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Unit responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.
