School is back in session; September is here… and guess what? Scammers are back with another scam attempt, pretending to be family members, claiming their phone is broken, and asking you to text them at a random number.
And somehow, their next problem is always the same… they need gift cards!
What a coincidence, right?
If you get a message like this:
🛑 STOP. Don’t send anything or even waste your time responding.
💳 Never send gift card numbers or PINs.
🔒 Never share personal or financial information.
❌ Don’t click any links.
🗑️ Delete the message.
Remember, if your “family member” suddenly has an issue and an urgent need for gift cards, STOP! Trust your instincts and call them directly using a number you already have saved.
