(Wilmington, Del.-19805) This afternoon (12/01) at approximately 12:48p.m., New Castle County Police were dispatched to a house in Brack Ex for an accident.  When officers arrived they learned a Ford Escort had struck a house in the unit block of Clifton Drive. A New Castle County Code Inspector went to the scene and deemed the front porch unsafe-but the home safe for habitation.

The driver of the vehicle was taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries. No injuries were reported by the residents.  Officers do believe alcohol and/or drugs are a factor in this accident. The investigation is ongoing.
