Newark, DE 19711 – In May 2026, the New Castle County Division of Police opened an investigation into an indecent exposure involving 59‑year‑old Rodney Little, of the unit block of Fairway Road in Newark. The investigation began after the parents of a juvenile reported that their child’s online tutor exposed his naked buttocks during an online tutoring session.
Due to the circumstances of the case, detectives from the Division’s Criminal Investigations Unit were notified and assumed responsibility for the investigation.
Detectives obtained a video recording of Little’s tutoring session with the victim. The video showed Little leaving his seat during the session while remaining within view of the camera. He was wearing clothing covering his upper body but no clothing below the waist, leaving his bare genitals and buttocks exposed to the victim. The victim was under 12 years old at the time of the incident.
The investigation found that Little had worked as an independent contractor for an online tutoring platform since 2014. After learning of the allegations, the tutoring platform immediately suspended Little.
The tutoring platform provided investigators with additional video recordings showing Little engaging in similar behavior with other victims.
On Wednesday, September 16, 2026, Little was taken into custody at his residence and transported to New Castle County Police Headquarters, where he was charged with the following:
• Two felony counts of Sexual Abuse of a Child by a Person of Trust in the Second Degree
• Two felony counts of Indecent Exposure in the First Degree
Little was arraigned on all charges at Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution after failing to post $52,000 cash bail.
Detectives are attempting to identify additional victims. Due to the relatively short retention period of the tutoring platform’s video storage, detectives believe there may be additional victims who participated in online tutoring sessions with Rodney Little and have not yet come forward.
