The New Castle County Police, the New Castle County Executive Office and Department of Special Services has given the Lt. Szczerba Memorial Park a makeover, by installing playground equipment featuring accessories such as black and gold police cruisers and the New Castle County Police shield. Children will have fun playing police officer and residents can reflect on a hero who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving his community.
