(Newark, DE 19713) Police Officers from the New Castle County Division of Police Mobile Enforcement Team have arrested 33-year-old Dasaan Jackson of Philadelphia for multiple felony charges following an investigation. On Monday, August 14, 2023, at 5:30 p.m., Officers observed a Buick Lacrosse driving near Brookside Park that displayed a fake temporary registration and was equipped illegal window tint. A car stop was conducted, and officers contacted the driver, Dasaan Jackson. During the investigation, Officers conducted a search of the vehicle and located a loaded 9mm handgun, additional ammunition, illicit drug packaging, and suboxone. The firearm was also found to be reported stolen out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Dasaan was taken into custody without incident and transported to NCCPD headquarters. Dasaan was charged with one count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, two felony counts of possession of a firearm/ammunition by a person prohibited, one felony count of carrying a concealed deadly weapon, one felony count of receiving stolen property, one felony count of possession of a controlled counterfeit substance, and multiple traffic violations. He was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court 11 and held in lieu of $33,000.00 cash bail.
