🚨 Scammer Alert: DMV Edition! 🚨

It must be a slow day in Scammerville because the scammers are back at it again. This time, they’ve put their E-Z Pass scams on hold (for now) and are pretending to be from the Delaware Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).

Check your text messages, chances are you’ve already received one, and if not, it’s likely on its way. These fake messages often mention an “outstanding ticket or toll amount” and include a link to a bogus website aimed at stealing your personal and financial details.

📱The Delaware DMV and E-Z Pass Delaware will NEVER contact you by text or email asking you to click a link to make a payment or to update personal information.

If you receive one of these messages:

❌ Do NOT click the link.

🚫 Do NOT share any personal or payment information!

🗑️ Delete the message.

📢 Warn others to do the same.

If you believe there may be an issue with your license, registration, or E-ZPass account, please contact the DMV directly using their official phone number.

If you’ve received a suspicious text or email, report it to the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) at ic3.gov. Be sure to include the sender’s phone number and the website listed in the message.
