Investigation Details:

On November 8, 1980, New Castle County Police responded to the Brookview Apartments at 68 Baynard Drive after a neighbor discovered William Knapp Sr. deceased. The Office of the Medical Examiner determined the cause of death to be blunt force injuries to the skull.

Mr. Knapp is believed to have died between the night of Tuesday, November 4, and Saturday, November 8. No signs of forced entry were observed.
