New Castle County Police are currently investigating a shooting that occurred in the community of Edgemoor

(Wilmington, 19809) Yesterday, (January 17) at approximately 10:00 p.m., New Castle County Patrol Officers were dispatched to the unit block of Polk Dr for the report of shots fired. While at the scene, officers discovered that one subject had suffered a gunshot wound.  This subject was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Detectives from the New Castle County Police Criminal Investigations Unit arrived on scene and have assumed the investigation.
