(New Castle, DE 19720) On Saturday, April 13, 2024, at approximately 7:15 p.m., Officers from the New Castle County Mobile Enforcement Team were on patrol in the community of William Penn Apartments, when they observed four suspects conduct multiple drug transactions out of two cars that were parked at the Quick Stop Mini Market located on the 500 block of Basin Road.
Officers then contacted and detained the suspects, who were all later transported to New Castle County Police headquarters and charged with the following crimes:
Garry Maxwell (37) of New Castle was charged with:
- One felony count of possession of a firearm by a person prohibited.
- One felony count of possession of a weapon with an obliterated serial number.
- One felony count of carrying a concealed deadly weapon.
Garry Maxwell was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution after failing to pay $7,500 cash bail.
Zachary Blake (35) of Philadelphia, PA was charged with:
- One felony count of possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance.
- One misdemeanor count of possession of marijuana other than personal use quantity.
Zachary Blake was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was released on $3,000 unsecured bail.
Daniel Badeau (27) of Philadelphia, PA was charged with:
- One felony count of possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance.
- One felony count of tampering with physical evidence.
- One misdemeanor count of possession of marijuana other than personal use quantity.
- One misdemeanor count of criminal impersonation.
Daniel Badeau was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution after failing to pay $10,000 cash bail.
A 17-year-old male from New Castle was charged with:
- One felony count of possession of a firearm by a person prohibited.
- One felony count of possession of a deadly weapon at the same time possessing a controlled substance.
- One felony count of carrying a concealed deadly weapon.
- One misdemeanor count of possession of marijuana other than personal use quantity.
The 17-year-old male was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to New Castle County Detention Center after failing to pay $20,050 secure bail.
