New Castle County Police are currently searching for 45 year-old David Thompson missing from the Manor Park community.

(New Castle, Del.-19720) Yesterday (April 6), New Castle County Police were dispatched to the unit block of Minuit Dr for a check on the welfare. Police learned that David Thompson fled the residence in his vehicle after making statements that caused a concern for his welfare.

David Thompson is described as white male, 6’2” tall, 210 pounds, brown hair, green eyes and wearing glasses. He is driving a white, 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer with Pennsylvania registration HRC1665.

Police are asking anyone with information on the whereabouts of David Thompson to contact New Castle County Police by dialing (302) 573-2800.

(Newport, Del.-19804) Sunday (April 1) at approximately 12:50 a.m., patrol officers were dispatched to Christiana Hospital for the report of a subject being treated for a gunshot wound to his arm.

Police learned that the 19 year-old male victim was attending a party in the industrial park on Brookside Dr in Ashley Heights. An unknown subject began shooting outside of the party striking the victim. He was transported to the hospital in a personal vehicle where he was treated and released for non-life threatening injuries.

The Evidence Detection Unit responded to the scene for processing. There is no suspect description at this time.

New Castle County Police are searching for 20 year-old Kalif Reeves who is wanted for the shooting death of 22 year-old William Laws that occurred earlier this month. The FBI is offering a reward of up to $10,000.00 for information leading directly to the arrest of Kalif Reeves.

(Newark, Del. 19713) Friday (March 9) at approximately 2:08 a.m., New Castle County Police were dispatched to the intersection of Malvern Rd and Augusta Dr for a shooting just occurred. Police learned that 22 year-old William Laws suffered a gunshot wound to his torso. He was transported to an area hospital by emergency medical services where he was pronounced dead.

During the course of the investigation, The New Castle County Police Homicide Squad developed Kalif Reeves as a suspect and a warrant was obtained for his arrest. On March 23, 2018, a federal arrest warrant was issued for Kalif Reeves by the United States District Court, District of Delaware in Wilmington for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.
