Police Continue To Investigate Fatal Hit And Run Accident-Valley Wood

New Castle County Police continue to investigate a hit and run collision that killed 31 year-old Anthony Phippin last year.

(Bear, Del. 19702) On November 28, 2017, New Castle County Police responded to the report of an injured male lying in the area of Freedom Rd and 76th Street. Anthony Phippin was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Detectives from the Traffic Services unit responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. Surveillance video collected from the scene has been sent to the FBI forensics lab for enhancement in an attempt to identify the striking vehicle.

Police Investigate Motor Vehicle Crash In To A Residence

New Castle County Police are currently investigating a motor vehicle crash that damaged a residence.

(New Castle, Del. 19720) Today (April 8) at 2:09 a.m., New Castle County Police were dispatched to the unit block of Seaford St in the community of Minquadale for the report of a motor vehicle crash.

Police learned that a gray Toyota Rav4, driven by a 28 year-old female, crashed into the front of the residence causing significant damage. The driver was taken to an area hospital for evaluation.

Detectives from the Traffic Services Unit responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. It appears that alcohol may be a factor in this investigation.

New Castle County Code Enforcement responded to the scene and declared the residence inhabitable.
