NEW CASTLE MAN CHARGED WITH SIXTH OFFENSE DUI

(Wilmington, DE 19808) Officers from the New Castle County Division of Police have charged 67-year-old John Zickgraf of New Castle with a six-offense DUI.

On Thursday, April 4, 2024, at 10:38 p.m., patrol officers were dispatched to the area of 200 block of Greenbank Road, for a report of a car stopped in the middle of the roadway. Patrol officers then located a blue Toyota Yaris in the middle of the road, and when they activated their emergency lights, the driver of the car, later identified as John Zickgraf, began driving away from the officers.  John Zickgraf then pulled over around Albertson Boulevard and Greenbank Road when patrol officers noticed that John Zickgraf was exhibiting signs of impairment, and a series of standardized field sobriety tests were conducted.

John Zickgraf was then transported to New Castle County Police headquarters, where he was charged with the following crimes:

  • One felony count of 6th offense DUI.
  • One felony count of disregarding a police officer signal.
  • One misdemeanor count of driving while suspended or revoked.

John Zickgraf was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution after failing to pay $13,000 secured bail.

GOLD ALERT ISSUED FOR MISSING WILMINGTON MAN – ROBERT MCGONIGLE

(Wilmington, DE 19808) The New Castle County Division of Police has issued a Gold Alert for 32-year-old Robert McGonigle of Wilmington. Robert made statements that have caused concern for his welfare and safety. All attempts to locate or contact Robert currently have been unsuccessful.

Robert is described as a white male, 6’2″, 220 pounds, with brown eyes, and brown hair and he was last seen wearing a dark-colored sweatshirt and gray sweatpants.  Robert was last seen walking around the area of Faulkland Road and his destination is unknown.
